The Antinori family own no less than four estates within the Chianti wine producing area, three of which are within the Chianti classico area. Peppoli Chianti classico, Tignanello, Solaia, Badia a Passignano Riserva and of course Villa Antinori are well known marques. The estates comprise nearly 2,000 acres of vineyards. Ricasoli: Never mind the wine, what an amazing castle! Surrounded by a huge fortified wall (look at the pictures on their web site) the gardens and chapel are open to the public most of the time. Also the cellars and wine shop where you can buy some of the product of the huge estate attaching to the castle – in the heart of Chianti.
